Job summary

Shaw healthcare (Group) Ltd is seeking a Bank Nurse for Hillside Lodge in Pulborough, West Sussex. The role features zero-hours bank shifts with 12-hour patterns (07:45-20:15 or 20:00-08:00) to support 24-hour nursing care.

The successful candidate must be NMC registered and experienced in elderly care. You will coordinate with other professionals, document care, and uphold CQC standards while supporting residents and their families.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with elderly care experience.
• Knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients health and care needs; develop care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor responses.
• Provide nursing care including wound and palliative care.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals to coordinate personalised care.
• Support daily living activities: bathing, dressing, toileting.
• Provide emotional support to service users and families.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• Work within CQC guidelines to ensure high care standards.
• Contribute to policy development and staff training.

Hillside Lodge offers a range of services to support residents' physical, emotional, and social needs, including 24-hour nursing care.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications And Experience

• NMC Registered Nurse
• Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer's and other dementia-related conditions
• Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative
