Job description

The successful post holder will become part of a multi-disciplinary Nuclear Medicine team responsible for maintaining high standards of care. They are expected to work within Trust policies, departmental procedures, current UK radiological protection standards, and other health and safety legislation.

Service Development
  • Collaborate in developing and implementing strategies to gather and incorporate patient and carer feedback into service improvements.
  • Participate actively in project planning.
  • Formulate, implement, and evaluate departmental policies and guidelines, updating them as necessary.
Research and Audit
  • Participate in relevant audit activities and develop action plans based on findings.
Educational Responsibilities
  • Accountable for teaching, developing, and supervising staff and learners in the area.
  • Ensure proper supervision of junior staff and preceptees, oversee induction processes, and lead probationary assessments.
  • Create a supportive educational environment for all learners.
  • Educate and advise patients and carers, promoting positive health education.
