Job summary

Spire Thames Valley Hospital in Slough is seeking an experienced Bank Specialist Radiographer to join the Imaging Department. The role focuses on MRI, X-ray and theatre imaging with flexible weekday availability and a patient‑centred approach.

As part of our bank team you will deliver safe, high-quality imaging services, maintain records, and work with consultants and radiologists to support accurate diagnoses. HCPC registration and post‑registration MRI experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-registration MRI imaging experience is essential.
• Strong MRI safety knowledge and protocols.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations across departmental protocols.
• Ensure patient safety, MRI screening and contraindication checks.
• Deliver an outstanding patient experience and support during the diagnostic journey.
• Operate MRI equipment efficiently to produce diagnostic-quality images.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Collaborate with consultants, radiologists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Adhere to HCPC, IR(ME)R and hospital governance requirements.
