The successful candidate will provide essential care in midwifery, supported by local GPs and remote obstetric colleagues. Qualifications

Bank Integrated Midwife

Band 6 £41,608- £50,702 per annum

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,406 per annum

We are looking for flexible, enthusiastic and motivated midwife, preferably with post registration experience, to join our midwifery team. There will be an opportunity to provide care in all areas relating to midwifery practice. Applicants should be committed to providing a high standard of care and interact well with a multi-disciplinary team.

The islands of Uist have a small mixed caseload predominantly managed by the midwife with support from local GP’s, and remote access to Obstetric colleagues from Lewis and /or mainland units.

Continuous professional development is actively encouraged and supported through in-house programmes and Institutes of Higher Education. Applicant must be a car owner and in possession of a full UK driving licence.

The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
