Job responsibilities

We are looking for a Bank Registered Mental Health (RMN)/Bank Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) with a current UK PIN number and a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You will have the opportunity to work bank shifts at Delfryn Lodge & House. Delfryn Lodge & House is our high-dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men and women with severe and enduring mental illness, who may have been detained under the Mental Health Act. Men and women placed with us often come from multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes, or are stepping down from secure settings.

Delfryn Lodge & House has recently been awarded a positive inspection by Health Inspectorate Wales (HIW), receiving praise for providing high standards of care with a CQC rating of Good.

  • Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations
  • Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further your knowledge and promote nursing
  • Ensure that individual care plans are complete and maintained collectively with residents, relatives, and other healthcare professionals, under NMC guidelines
  • Administer medicines within healthcare procedures and Healthcare Commission guidelines

You

An experienced RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number, you have:

  • The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits, and demonstrate integrity in your role
  • A good understanding of the latest nursing practices
  • A commitment to patient recovery to effectively monitor, manage, and reduce risk
  • Compassion, resilience, and a dedication to empower and support service user independence
  • The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role
  • An interest in leadership, research, and assessment
