Vacancy: Bank Maintenance Operative
This role is a dual position across two Abbeyfield care homes: Lee House in Wimbledon and Abbeyfield House in New Malden. Flexible working hours are available, including evening and weekend work.
About the Care Homes:
- Lee House: An attractive residential care home in Wimbledon providing care and support to residents over 65.
- Abbeyfield House: Located in New Malden, a purpose-built Dementia Care Home offering tailored, 24-hour care to up to 36 residents.
Main Duties:
- Carrying out repairs effectively, quickly, and to a high standard.
- Ensuring work is performed safely, adhering to relevant regulations.
- Reporting and addressing issues promptly to minimize impact, risk, and damage.
- Maintaining grounds and gardens in a tidy condition.
- Reporting emergencies to Property Services.
- Performing and maintaining daily repairs and maintenance, including painting and decorating resident rooms.
- Maintaining confidentiality in all matters.
- Making minor adjustments to windows, doors, restrictors, and door closers.
- Updating and maintaining relevant documentation.
About You:
- Possess good general property maintenance knowledge and experience providing maintenance services.
- Excellent communication skills, literacy, and computer literacy.
- Good knowledge of health and safety and trade regulations, with risk assessment abilities.
- Ability to commute to both sites in New Malden and Wimbledon.
