Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) is seeking to recruit Level 6 Bank Prison Nurses for flexible working opportunities at HM Prison Birmingham via Temporary Staffing.
The Trust provides primary care & inpatient services at HMP Birmingham, a male prison housing up to 1450 prisoners. The prison operates 24 hours and offers varied nursing experiences and training opportunities.
Previous prison experience is not required, but applicants with skills in medication dispensing, wound dressings (including compression bandaging), phlebotomy, and immunisations/vaccinations are especially welcome. We seek qualified nurses with relevant experience, as much of the care is nurse-led and encourages decision-making. The department is supported by GPs and Allied Health Professionals and strives to improve care standards and introduce innovative changes.
We will not accept applications from unqualified or Student Nurses for this position.
