Job description

Our Meallmore team at Grove is ready to warmly welcome you as a Kitchen Assistant within their care home. Located only 16 miles from Aberdeen, Grove care home enjoys a rural charm in the village of Kemnay. It is a homely property that caters predominantly to frail elderly residents as well as those living with dementia.

As a Kitchen Assistant, Meallmore will allocate you a mentor and provide a comprehensive induction process. Our mentorship programme and ongoing training will support your skill development and career progression, whether that be to a Second Chef or Head Chef — the choice is yours!

Your role as a Meallmore Kitchen Assistant will include:
  • Keeping the kitchen areas clean and tidy
  • Supporting the catering team with basic food preparation for seasonal meals
  • Cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to hygiene standards
  • Assisting with specialist dietary requirements and serving nutritious meals
Required skills:
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and hygiene
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Teamwork skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

Salary: £12.27 per hour + benefits
