Job description

As a Kitchen Assistant at Aria Court Care Home, you will support the Head Chef in providing high-quality food services within the home, ensuring standards meet residents' needs.

About The Role

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will help ensure catering and dining experiences are of the highest standard, including maintaining public areas like the café and providing refreshments for residents and guests.

Salary

£12.21 per hour.

Shift Pattern

[Bank] hours per week, rota basis, Monday to Sunday.

Location

Coronation Close, March, England, PE15 9PP.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Support the Head Chef to maintain high standards in catering and dining.
2. Assist with meal service, ensuring dietary requirements are met and areas are clean and stocked.
3. Engage with residents in conversation and activities respecting their dignity and communication needs.
4. Ensure health and safety standards are met according to Food Safety and H&S manuals.

Training, Skills & Experience

1. Experience in a kitchen or catering background; care environment experience is a plus but not essential.
2. NVQ Level 2 in Food Hygiene (desirable).
3. Reliable with excellent communication and attention to detail.
4. Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office.
