Job description

Bank Keyholder

Location: Various

Hours: Zero

Salary: £12.21 per hour

What we do

Compton Care provides high-quality, accessible care and support for people in our communities living with life-limiting conditions across Wolverhampton, the Black Country, South Staffordshire, and East Shropshire.

The charity’s annual running costs are £16 million, with 70% funded through our stores, fundraising, and donations from supporters.

What will you do?

You will help and support the day-to-day running of our shops, including cash handling, banking, merchandising, displays, and supporting staff and volunteers. Most importantly, you will be an ambassador for Compton Care, promoting our services and the importance of charity shops to generate additional income for the charity, especially during staff sickness, vacancies, or other absences.

What we want you to bring

You don’t need previous experience in the charity sector, but you should have experience managing people in a front-line retail or hospitality environment. We value individuals who can build strong relationships with customers and volunteers, creating a welcoming environment for all. Excellent communication skills are essential to promote our donated and purchased goods and services.

If you have the retail skills we need and want to make a real difference in people's lives, we look forward to hearing from you. Please apply online by completing our short application form.

Please note that we reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applications.
