As a band 5 bank ITU nurse, you will work shifts at Royal Free or Barnet Hospital, providing high-quality care to critically ill patients, aligned with trust values.
You will be responsible for delivering care to level 2 or 3 patients, including medical and surgical cases such as hepatology, infectious diseases, cardiology, rheumatology, and specialized surgical centers for hepatobiliary, vascular, and renal surgeries.
Our trust employs around 10,000 staff serving 1.6 million patients across multiple hospitals and community services. We offer various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, with competitive hourly rates. Long shifts are paid at 11.5 hours.
The post holder assesses care needs, develops, implements, and evaluates care programs for critically ill adults under supervision. They will develop specialist skills through training and mentorship, supervise unqualified staff, and maintain a safe clinical environment.
In response to COVID-19, full vaccination is required for roles involving face-to-face patient contact from 1 April 2022, with evidence required by 3 February 2022, unless exempt.
