Your main role will involve visiting schools alongside the immunisation team each day to support them in vaccinating children against the Flu from September to December in both primary and secondary schools.
You'll need to vaccinate children efficiently, typically 12-25 per hour, depending on the vaccination programme. Working well as part of a team and collaborating with your colleagues is essential. You'll also be responsible for carrying out Gillick Competency Assessments with secondary-aged pupils and participating in clinical supervision and audits as required.

Our mission is to protect the next generation from serious diseases like HPV, influenza, polio, and meningitis. We currently have vacancies for Immunisation Nurses in Hillingdon, Hounslow and Ealing, available on a part-time or full-time, permanent or term-time only basis. You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team where no two days are the same. You'll work in schools and local communities, providing vaccinations alongside your colleagues. You'll have the autonomy to manage your role but will always have the support you need to do your job well.
We offer a salary of £25 per hour, with occasional daytime weekend clinic hours available at an enhanced rate. At Vaccination UK, we truly value our staff because we know they're the heart of our organisation.
Evidence of ongoing professional development, working with PGD frameworks, proficiency in administering IM injections, understanding and implementing the principles of informed consent, computer literacy, cold chain management, ordering, and arranging transport are essential.
