Job summary

Practice Plus Group Hospital Shepton Mallet is seeking a Bank Housekeeping & Catering Assistant to support both housekeeping and catering services. This 0-hour bank contract offers flexible shifts to fit around your availability, with the option to accept or decline shifts.

You will help prepare and serve meals, maintain hygiene, clean and restock areas, and support infection prevention while working with a friendly team to deliver excellent service in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Recording patient meal choices and escalating any concerns where appropriate.

• Cleaning patient areas, offices, corridors and public spaces to the required standards.
• Cleaning and restocking washroom facilities and supporting waste disposal processes.
• Using cleaning equipment safely and effectively following training and procedures.
• Supporting infection prevention and control standards throughout the hospital.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent service experience.

This role is offered on a BANK (0-hour) contract. There are no guaranteed hours, and shifts will be offered depending on business needs. You can accept or decline shifts based on your availability, making this a flexible option - but it may not be suitable if you are seeking consistent or full-time hours.

What you'll be doing

As our Bank Housekeeping & Catering Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the hospital by:
