Job summary

Sandstone Care Group is seeking a Bank Housekeeper for Burscough Manor Care Home in Lancashire. This ad-hoc role covers sickness and annual leave, with shifts offered as bank/flexi and an hourly rate of £12.76.

You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and comfort for residents, working on an as-needed basis. You will clean bedrooms and communal areas, follow infection control procedures, replenish supplies, and report hazards promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or domestic experience is desirable but not essential.
• A good eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Understanding of hygiene, cleanliness, and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain residents' bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and other facilities to a high standard.
• Follow infection prevention and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Replenish supplies and ensure cleaning equipment is used and stored correctly.
• Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or concerns promptly.
• Work closely with colleagues to help provide a comfortable and homely environment for residents.
