Job summary

Hungerford Care Home is seeking a diligent cleaner to maintain a hygienic, odour-free environment for residents. You will clean rooms, fittings, carpets and equipment, and ensure bathrooms are sanitised according to guidelines.

You will also handle waste disposal and uphold confidentiality and health & safety standards. Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided to ensure compliance with care standards and COSHH regulations, supporting a safe, clean

Qualifications

• Experience in a cleaning role is desirable.
• Familiarity with hygiene and COSHH guidelines preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• To clean allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabrics, carpets and equipment.
• Clean bathrooms and toilets with attention to germ control guidelines.
• Ensure rooms are odour free.
• Follow COSHH and health & safety statements.
• Manage waste bags and disposal as prescribed.
• Maintain client and business confidentiality at all times.

About Our Home:

Hungerford Care Home is a warm and welcoming nursing home offering a spacious and comfortable environment and 24-hour care and support for older adults.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To clean all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment
• Cleaning the bathrooms and toilets, with particular attention to guidelines for the control of germs and infestation
• Ensure that rooms are odour free
• To be aware of the health and safety statement of the COSHH statement
• To deal with the waste bags and their prescribed disposal
• Be familiar with the required care standards regulations governing your job
• Maintain client and business confidentiality at all times
  

Experience in a similar role/ Experience in a similar industry preferred although not essential
