Job summary

Loveday Kensington is recruiting a Bank Housekeeper to join our Kensington team. The role involves providing efficient housekeeping across member suites and public areas in a care home setting in London.

You will also handle member laundry, assist with linen and stock, and participate in mandatory training and supervision to maintain Loveday's high hygiene and safety standards. Staff meals and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping in care or hospitality sectors preferred.
• Ability to manage member laundry and stock.
• Willingness to undertake mandatory training and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily housekeeping services in member suites and public areas.
• Ensure all areas are clean and tidy to Loveday standards.
• Undertake member laundry and pressing if required.
• Assist members with housekeeping requests.
• Assist with linen and stock management.
• Maintain hygiene standards and participate in training and supervision.
• Wear the provided uniform and maintain it clean and presentable.
• Take health and safety considerations seriously and contribute to a safe workplace.
• Undertake other duties as directed by Head Housekeeper and General Manager.

Scope

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Housekeeper to join the Loveday team at Kensington. The role will involve providing an efficient and confidential administration service to our care home.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To carry out daily housekeeping services in member suites and public areas.
• To ensure that all areas are always clean and tidy to the Loveday standards.
• To undertake member laundry and pressing if required.
• To assist members with any housekeeping requests
• To assist with linen and stock management.
• Ensure that the daily work is completed to the set hygiene standards
• Attend initial and update mandatory training as required. Actively engage in personal professional supervision including quarterly one-to-one meetings and yearly performance review, ensuring personal professional knowledge and competency is maintained.
• Wear the uniform provided and ensure that it is kept clean and presentable at all times.
• Take reasonable care of your own health and safety, and that of other persons who may be affected by your actions and carry out your responsibilities in ways that ensure a safe and healthy place of work.
• Undertake other duties at the discretion of the Head Housekeeper and the General Manager.
