Job summary

Hungerford Care Home is a warm and welcoming nursing home providing 24-hour care for older adults. We are seeking a dedicated cleaner to maintain high hygiene standards across rooms and facilities.

You will clean allocated areas, manage waste per regulations, and support the team while ensuring confidentiality and safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar cleaning role preferred.
• Familiar with hygiene and safety standards.
• Willingness to learn and follow care home policies.

Responsibilities

• Clean allocated rooms, furniture, fittings, fabrics and equipment.
• Clean bathrooms and toilets, ensuring rooms are odour-free.
• Follow COSHH guidelines and waste disposal procedures.
• Maintain client and business confidentiality at all times.
• Support other staff as required.

Job description

Hungerford Care Home is a warm and welcoming nursing home offering a spacious and comfortable environment and 24-hour care and support for older adults.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To clean all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment
• Cleaning the bathrooms and toilets, with particular attention to guidelines for the control of germs and infestation
• Ensure that rooms are odour free
• To be aware of the health and safety statement of the COSHH statement
• To deal with the waste bags and their prescribed disposal
• Be familiar with the required care standards regulations governing your job
• Maintain client and business confidentiality at all times
  

Experience in a similar role/ Experience in a similar industry preferred although not essential
