Job summary

Amy Woodgate House Care Home is seeking a diligent cleaner to join its team in Greater London. You will be responsible for cleaning allocated rooms, fittings, fabrics, carpets and equipment, and ensuring bathrooms are spotless and odour-free in line with germ-control guidelines.

You will maintain confidentiality and comply with COSHH and health & safety rules, supporting a welcoming, hygienic environment for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with COSHH guidelines and health and safety practices is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Clean allocated rooms, furniture, fittings, fabrics, carpets and equipment.
• Clean bathrooms and toilets following germ-control guidelines.
• Keep rooms odour-free and tidy.
• Follow COSHH and health & safety statements.
• Handle waste bags and disposal as prescribed.
• Adhere to required care standards regulations for the role.
• Maintain client and business confidentiality at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To clean all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment
• Cleaning the bathrooms and toilets, with particular attention to guidelines for the control of germs and infestation
• Ensure that rooms are odour free
• To be aware of the health and safety statement of the COSHH statement
• To deal with the waste bags and their prescribed disposal
• Be familiar with the required care standards regulations governing your job
• Maintain client and business confidentiality at all times
  

Experience in a similar role/ Experience in a similar industry preferred although not essential
