A leading healthcare provider is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Bank Housekeeper to ensure high standards of hygiene at the hospice. You will work within a dedicated facilities team, covering shifts as needed, primarily focused on maintaining cleanliness and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the hospice. Ideal candidates will possess effective communication skills and have a commitment to the values of Bolton Hospice.
To supplement our permanent housekeeping team,our team of bank staff provide cover for planned and unplanned shortfalls instaffing, covering vacancies and staff absences.
We are now seeking to recruit an enthusiasticand proactive Bank Housekeeper to provide operational cover within the hospice,as and when required, as part of our Facilities team.
We are looking for an experienced housekeeper with high personalstandards and a commitment to the vision and values of Bolton Hospice. You mustbe able to work well in a team and have good interpersonal and communicationskills, along with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach. Experience ofworking in a clinical environment would be desirable but not essential astraining will be provided.
This role supports the smooth running of our housekeeping teamacross all areas of the hospice, especially during staff absences, leave, orbusy periods. The post holder will carry out a range of cleaning and domestictasks, helping to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughoutthe hospice. This includes specialised cleaning in areas like treatment roomsand the pharmacy, as well as looking after cleaning equipment
Ourteam of doctors, nurses and other professional staff provide expert care andsupport for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and theirfamilies, in the hospice and at home. We not only take care of patients'physical needs, but we also consider their emotional, spiritual, and socialneeds too; and we support families and close friends, both during illness andin bereavement.
Toensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the hospice.
Towork unsupervised within the framework of the team.
Tohave a responsible attitude towards the duties required.
To have an understanding attitude to patients andtheir relatives, visitors and volunteers in the hospice setting.
