Job summary

Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital is seeking a part-time Healthcare Support Worker to join our bank/ad-hoc team, including weekend work. You will assist in the ward, prioritise patient care and support the nursing team. The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and good computer and database skills.

The position is paid at £13.00 per hour and offers a flexible, ad-hoc schedule to suit business needs and availability, with access to our pension scheme and discounted gym membership.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, with relevant experience in acute hospital or care settings.
• Good telephone manner and strong computer/database skills.

Responsibilities

• Put patient care first.
• Carry out administrative duties.
• Support a team of Registered Nurses and consultants in delivering patient care, pre and post surgery.
• Take time to get to know patients and meet individual needs.
• Use organisational skills to ensure efficient operations.

Asa Support Worker on the ward at our hospital, you’ll show us you’re able to meet deadlines and follow instructions. You have a good telephone manner, and great computer and database skills. You will need to be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.
