We are expanding recruitment for several compassionate, knowledgeable and motivated Healthcare Assistants to join our team at HMP Portland on bank, as part of the South West Prison Healthcare contract awarded to Oxleas NHS Trust in 2022. Our healthcare team promotes health and well-being for those in prison and uses skills and strategies that instil hope for patients’ future resettlement back into the community. We deliver Mental Health, Physical Health, Pharmacy and Clinical Substance Misuse in an integrated delivery model to improve wellbeing and outcomes.
Oxleas offers NHS healthcare services in community and secure environments. Our services include district nursing, speech and language therapy, care for people with learning disabilities and mental health care. Our multidisciplinary teams work in various settings including prisons and secure units, with our people valuing professional boundaries, equal opportunities and respectful, patient-centered care.
All applicants must be willing to undertake National Security Vetting to work in a prison setting. This will be completed as part of pre-employment checks.
