Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Abertillery. You will assist with routine clinical duties, patient assessments and treatment room activity in a busy primary care setting.

Key duties include taking observations (BP, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation), assisting with treatment room procedures, phlebotomy if trained, completing ECGs and updating patient records in the system. DBS enhanced is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable performing clinical observations.
• Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsibilities

You will be part of an organised primary care environment where you will help manage patient flow, assist with core clinical duties and contribute to high-quality care delivery. The practice offers strong support and clear guidance to ensure every session runs smoothly.

Requirements

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS

• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation
• Enhanced DBS
