Hours: Zero hour contract (Day and Nights available)

We are looking for motivated Healthcare Assistants who are able to work primarily between 7.30am and 7.45pm, Monday to Friday, to join our WorkChoice / Bank workforce on a zero-hour contract. This allows you to choose when and how many hours you work to fit around your work/life balance. You will also benefit from enhanced pay and an excellent training programme.

Your role with us

St Andrew’s Healthcare in Essex provides care for patients within low/medium secure and specialist rehabilitation services. All our therapies, facilities, education, and activities are designed to help patients reach their maximum potential and progress in their recovery journey.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll work under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional, typically a nurse, and collaborate with doctors, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals. However, your primary contact will be with the people in our care.

There are no strict entry requirements to become a Healthcare Assistant, but the role requires certain skills and personal qualities. The role can be physically active, so you must be able to handle the demands of the position. To succeed as a Healthcare Assistant in mental health care, you should be:
