Job summary

Spire Leeds Hospital in Leeds is inviting an experienced Clinical Healthcare Assistant to join our Staffing Bank on a flexible, weekly-pay basis.

You will support nursing teams, deliver routine patient care, and gain exposure to venepuncture and ECG procedures. A strong hospital background and NVQ Health & Social Care qualification are required, with MS Office/SAP literacy desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is essential.
• Must have previous experience working as an HCA in a hospital setting, surgical ward, or ward experience.
• System literacy is essential; MS Office and SAP is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary planned care for patients while coordinating multiple clinical teams.
• Assist the Clinical team and Nursing staff to deliver high-quality healthcare.
• Move and set up diagnostic equipment and other resources after training; apply tech for monitoring and treatment.
• Experience or willingness to learn Venepuncture and ECG Recording.

Spire Leeds has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Healthcare Assistant to join our Staffing Bank.

• Must be very flexible to pick up regular shifts
• Shift Patterns are a combination of - Early's, Lates, Long Days, Nights
• Must have previous experience working in a hospital setting

Spire Leeds Hospital, located in Roundhay, Leeds, has been treating patients for almost 30 years. We are the region's largest private hospital in terms of the range of services we offer and the number of consultants we work with. The hospital offers a range of services and facilities including four operating theatres, a sterile services department, a dedicated endoscopy suite, and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. There are outpatient and physiotherapy departments providing services six days per week

Duties and responsibilities;

To provide exemplary planned care for patients while managing more than one clinical team.

You will be required to:

• In this fast-paced role, you will be required to assist our Clinical team in providing exemplary Care within the department, whilst providing Healthcare Assistance to our Nursing team.
• As a HCA, duties will include routine tasks related to the delivery of care to ensure our patient's health and well-being.
• You will move and set up diagnostic equipment (after training) and other resources, as well as applying technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
• You must have experience or a willingness to learn both Venepuncture and ECG Recording.
