A UK healthcare provider is seeking a Health Care Assistant to support patients by providing personal care, implementing care plans, and ensuring effective communication within a multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to improving patient well-being. The role offers a chance to develop skills in a supportive environment.
The Health Care assistant will function as part of the multi-disciplinary team within the ward or department to provide a seamless service & high-quality care to patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The HCA is expected to undertake care to meet the needs of the patients under the supervision of a qualified nurse, working within the Trust’s policies and procedures and the philosophy of the ward. Working collaboratively as part of the ward team. It is expected that the Health Care Assistant will continue to develop their own capabilities and knowledge of nursing tasks in line with the Trust’s career pathway.

Maintain excellent communication with patients, relatives and members of the MDT regarding all aspects of care demonstrating a variety of communication skills in accordance with the client group. To answer telephone calls in a professional manner as per Trust guidance, taking full information and caller details to ensure accurate escalation to the appropriate person.
