Job description

Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital is seeking a Handy Person to join their Engineering & Estates team on a bank basis. The role involves providing general handyman services to support hospital maintenance and operations.

Overall Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Engineering & Estates team with general handyman tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager.
  2. Undertake work activities and related training in accordance with Spire Healthcare's health and safety policies.
  3. Maintain the estate, ensuring grounds, buildings, and services are in good repair.
  4. Support hospital-wide functions in collaboration with the engineering team.
  5. Carry out small building works such as internal re-decorations, structural alterations, repairs, plumbing, and electrical works, coordinating with outside contractors as needed.
  6. Demonstrate enthusiasm and self-motivation.
  7. Possess experience in painting and decorating or possess good DIY skills.
  8. Help maintain a safe working environment for all, including reporting hazards and supporting health and safety initiatives.
  9. Respond promptly to emergencies and take appropriate actions.
  10. Ensure proper disposal of waste and spillage to maintain safety and cleanliness.
Candidate Requirements
