Bank Forensic Nurse or Paramedic - Staines Custody Suite
  • £500 referral bonus when you refer healthcare professionals to us
  • We will pay £120 NMC registration fees per year
  • We will pay £98.12 HCPC registration fees per year

At Mountain Healthcare, we are looking for passionate, determined, and resilient individuals to join our teams as Forensic Custody Healthcare Professionals based in Surrey.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform forensic sampling, including blood tests for road traffic offences.
  • Signpost and refer, offering support for vulnerabilities and assisting patients in breaking patterns of re-offending.
  • Deliver substance misuse therapies.
  • Assess and care for detainees and staff in custody suites.
  • Promote good personal healthcare.
  • Collaborate with Liaison and Diversion services to identify mental health needs.

Job responsibilities

This role is suitable for RGN's and qualified Paramedics with over 3 years' post-qualification experience.

Custody environments are dynamic, with no two days the same. Detention can last up to 24 hours, during which we provide high-level care for diverse needs, from dependency issues to medical emergencies.

Our professionals are fully trained to collect forensic samples to assist police investigations, with no prior forensic experience necessary. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you'll work closely with police and receive training to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.

If maintaining a good work-life balance is important to you, this role offers a 4-on-4-off rota, allowing you to plan your personal life well in advance, with shifts comprising two days, two nights, followed by four days off.
