BANK - Emergency Nurse Practitioner (Band 7)

We are excited to be recruiting motivated applicants for an engaging bank opportunity across St Marys and Charing Cross Imperial hospitals, working as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner!

This flexible role within the Emergency Departments across Imperial (St Marys Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital) requires dynamic and experienced ENPs to provide specialist care to patients.

A successful Bank ENP will be enthusiastic, forward-thinking, and committed to equal opportunities and non-discriminatory practices.

Candidates should be motivated, possess excellent communication and leadership skills, and be capable of supporting the Ward Manager, Junior Sisters, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, uphold high standards, and ensure the safe and efficient management of patients within Imperial Teaching Hospitals.

We are also seeking applicants with exceptional experience for the following roles:

  • Band 5 ED Nurse
  • Band 6 PICU Nurse
  • Band 6 Midwife

Main duties of the job
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge or refer patients independently
  • Provide a service that complements GPs
  • Act as an independent prescriber (experienced EP essential)
  • Serve as a Link practitioner for a specialty, disseminating guidance and updates to colleagues
  • Assist in achieving Emergency Department quality indicators through timely review, transfer, and discharge of patients
  • Possess expert skills in plastering, suturing, streaming, and teach these skills to juniors
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Consultant and Lead Practitioner in responding to complaints
