If you’re looking for a flexible working role, where you can have fun, be creative, and help to develop little minds – our Bright Flex team would be a perfect fit for you.

Why Bright Horizons?

We care for over 10,000 children across the UK, across our portfolio of over 300 nurseries, 98% of which are rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted. We’re on a mission to change the future for children, families, and the people we work with, and are committed to progressive working values like flexibility, work-life balance, and wellbeing.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Support Nursery colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS, by engaging children in entertaining and educational play and activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones.
  2. Supervise the children throughout the day, ensuring their safety.
  3. Work as part of a larger team, to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed in line with nursery demands i.e. hygiene standards and room preparation.
  4. Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times.
  5. Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day-to-day basis.

What we can offer you

Our benefits include, but are not limited to:

  • Amazing discounts, ranging from childcare to high-street, to utility and days out!
  • Quarterly Employee Appreciation Weeks – with treats for all the team.
  • External helpline with professional counsellors – supporting your wellbeing 24 hours a day.
  • Access to our extensive library of training and qualifications, to support your continuous development.

What we’re looking for

  1. Previous experience working with children (Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nanny, Childminder or similar).
  2. Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
  3. Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults.
  4. Sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children.
  5. Ability to be flexible and adaptable – embracing working cultures in different nurseries.
  6. Have a flexible approach to working hours, supporting nurseries within a pre-agreed radius of your home address.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
