What You Will Do:

  • Provide Personal Care Assistance: Assist residents with personal care tasks, including meal preparation, administering medication, mobility assistance, housekeeping, bathing, and dressing, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Handle emergency calls from residents, taking appropriate action to resolve issues and ensure their safety.
  • Conduct Security Checks: Undertake full security checks throughout your shift to ensure the safety and security of the facility and its residents.
  • Carry Out Environmental Checks: Regularly inspect the facility's environment, ensuring appropriate lighting and other environmental factors are maintained.
  • Oversee Maintenance: Address day-to-day building and ground maintenance issues. Refer unresolved maintenance problems to the Operations Manager for further action.
  • Act as a Care Worker/Duty Manager: In this dual role, you will provide on-call care within the facility during your shift while overseeing daily operations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care role is preferred, but not essential. A genuine passion for helping others is required.
  • Personal Care Skills: Ability to provide personal care and support, including meal preparation, medication administration, and assistance with mobility and personal hygiene.
  • Emergency Response: Capability to respond effectively to emergency calls and take appropriate action.
  • Organisational Skills: High level of organisational skills with the ability to manage building maintenance and security checks.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with a compassionate and empathetic nature.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends, and adapt to the varying needs of residents.
  • Driving License: A valid driving license and access to your own vehicle are required (preferred, but not essential).
  • Commitment: A strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of care and operational excellence.
