Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to deliver a quality and comprehensive domiciliary care service for residents living within designated retirement villages. The role contributes to enriching residents’ lives.

£12.43 basic per hour; this is a Bank position, working as and when required.

Key Results

Provide and deliver a comprehensive care and support service including all elements of personal care and hygiene, while maintaining independence and dignity at all times.

Ensure the social support of residents – e.g., encouraging/facilitating their interests and meaningful activities.

Assist where required in resident’s health and well-being including nutrition, medication/creams, mobility, shopping/health appointments and supporting/welcome their visitors.

Formulate, review and maintain resident care plans and paperwork. Consistently working in line with regulatory bodies and SMT policies – for example but not exclusive to GDPR, CQC, HSE, Local Authority expectations etc.

Build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across and externally to St Monica Trust.

Undertake housekeeping and laundry duties as necessary for the resident.

Understanding of the needs of older people, including dementia and complex care needs.

Ability to attend to personal care needs – including helping with food, bathing, toileting.

Good level of IT skills (Microsoft packages).

Care certificate or willingness to work towards Care Certificate.

First Aid, food hygiene and Manual Handling.
