Job summary

Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Bank Domestic Assistants to join our Facilities Team at Clatterbridge. You will help maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff, following national standards and our cleaning schedule.

Active team members with a flexible approach will thrive, as you may cover for annual leave or sickness and work across wards. Prior domestic experience is helpful, but training will be provided to new starters.

Qualifications

• Adhere to NPSA cleanliness standards and CWP cleaning schedule.
• Follow COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
• Assist with daily waste collection and disposal.
• Wash up dishes for patients during mealtimes.
• Open/close buildings in exceptional cases with prior discussion.
• Notify Porters or security on breaches when buildings are empty.
• Order cleaning materials with supervisor approval.
• Keep all cleaning equipment clean and in good condition.
• Report equipment faults to the domestic supervisor.
• Provide details of untoward incidents to senior staff.

Responsibilities

• To be mobile and work as part of a team, flexible for cover on leave or sickness.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe ward/department environment.
