Job summary

Beech House in Thornbury, part of Bristol Care Homes, is seeking a Bank Domestic Assistant. The role supports daily housekeeping and resident comfort within a respected care home group in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

The position offers the Real Living Wage with weekend enhancements, a welcome bonus and progression opportunities. DBS checks are required; Bristol Care Homes does not sponsor visas for this role.

Responsibilities

• On duty as required by the duty rota
• Comply with Bristol Care Homes policies and procedures
• Undertaking general cleaning duties around the home
• Ensuring cleanliness of the home to the required standard
• Carrying out cleaning and deep cleaning tasks
• Ensuring correct cloths & chemicals are used for each job
• Being aware of regulations regarding handling chemicals
• Disposing of rubbish in the appropriate place
• Attending COSHH, manual handling and other training

Responsibilities and duties for the Bank Domestic Assistant role are:

• To be on duty as required by the duty rota
• To comply with Bristol Care Homes policies and procedures
• Undertaking general cleaning duties around the home.
• Ensuring cleanliness of the home to the required standard
• Carrying out cleaning and deep cleaning tasks
• Ensuring correct cloths & chemicals are used for each job
• Being aware of regulations regarding handling chemicals
• Disposing of rubbish in the appropriate place
• Attending COSHH, manual handling and other training

Pay:

As an employee age 21 years + you will earn

• Salary: £13.45 per hour
• 10% enhancements for any weekend hours
• 50% extra pay on Bank Holidays
