Job description

Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Dietitian with a passion for food and nutrition to join our Bank at the Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust.

The role includes working across inpatients, outpatients and domiciliary settings and reviewing patients from multiple specialties. You will collaborate with Speech and Language, Occupational and Physiotherapy colleagues in the hospital, as well as community teams to benefit our patients.

The candidate should have experience, the ability to work autonomously in a demanding environment, and confidence to communicate effectively with a wide spectrum of healthcare professionals, community colleagues and family members.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent, acceptable for registration with Health Care Professions Council e.g., BSc Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Evidence of further postgraduate study and continuous professional development.

Desirable criteria

  • Clinical supervisory skills.
  • Member of British Dietetic Association.
Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Varied experience in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Experience of working with ‘MUST’ or similar screening tool.
  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of artificial nutrition support.
