Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our talented team at the Ironstone Centre, Scunthorpe. As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will provide support to nursing and medical staff by assisting in minor surgery and delivering dermatological services to patients. You will be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team offering community-based healthcare for Dermatology patients. This role offers the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills through practical training, with the possibility to work towards your Care Certificate. You will be based at our Ironstone Centre, Scunthorpe, with occasional requirements at Cromwell Road Primary Care Centre and Freshney Green Medical Centre.

Your duties may include:

  1. Assisting with minor skin surgery
  2. Undertaking training for enhanced procedures with Plastic Surgeons and Maxillofacial Surgeons
  3. Carrying out phototherapy treatments under supervision
  4. Performing PUVA/Iontophoresis treatments under supervision
  5. Recording room and fridge temperatures and maintaining cleanliness
  6. Ordering and managing stock
  7. Restocking rooms and theatres
  8. Conducting monthly facilities audits
  9. Maintaining accurate medicine stock records
  10. Accessing well-being services and mandatory training
  11. Contributing to an innovative and supportive work culture
