Bank Chef

£12.82 per hour

Sanctuary Supported Living is recruiting for a Bank Chef for our Retirement Communities Service at Ness Court, Burwell.

The role, also known as Demi Chef, Line Chef, Cook, Chef de Partie, or Commis Chef, involves:

  1. Providing high-quality, versatile catering tailored to individual needs, including special diets.
  2. Managing food and labor budgets through rota planning, purchasing, and controlling food supplies to ensure menu delivery within budget.
  3. Receiving, amending orders, managing stock locations, conducting audits, and recording weekly labor and daily cash flows.
  4. Overseeing the Food Safety Management System and ensuring team compliance.
  5. Scheduling cleaning and maintenance routines to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
  6. Performing risk assessments and maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness.
  7. Supervising and developing staff.

Skills and experience required include:

  • Previous catering experience and cooking for diverse groups.
  • Level 2 Diploma in Catering and Hospitality.
  • Valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Knowledge of online catering software.
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Friendly, approachable manner suitable for customer and team interactions.
