Integrated Care System seeks a Bank Community Nurse Specialist to deliver high-quality palliative care across Exeter and surrounding areas. We are currently recruiting for a Bank Community Nurse Specialist to join our team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based specialist palliative care and clinical advice to adults registered with a GP across Exeter, Mid Devon, and East Devon.
The successful candidate will provide holistic care, offer expert clinical advice and interventions, and work collaboratively with local GPs and Community Nurses to support our service provision.
To be considered, you will need substantial experience in palliative or end-of-life care, with a strong understanding of the emotional and clinical complexities involved in supporting individuals during times of distress and conflict. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively within a team, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
Experience in a community setting would be advantageous. Flexibility to travel across the wider Hospiscare region is also essential.

Accountable to: Head of Community and Supportive Care Services
To deliver an excellent standard of evidence-based specialist palliative nursing care and clinical advice.
To promote dignity through a person-centered approach, positively enhancing the lives of patients with complex, life-limiting illnesses in the community.
3.1 Main Responsibilities
Infection Prevention and Control
Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by adhering to infection prevention policies and high standards of control, reporting risks as needed.
Disclosure and Barring Service
This role requires a DBS Enhanced check with Adults and Children Barred Lists.
This position is subject to a DBS check due to the nature of the role and working with vulnerable groups.
