Job summary

Shaw healthcare is recruiting a Bank Chef for Sycamore Lodge in Nailsea. This zero-hour contract role involves preparing, cooking and serving meals while upholding high hygiene standards and the company’s care values.

You will collaborate with the Home Manager and staff to meet residents’ dietary needs, ensure fresh home-cooked meals, and maintain HACCP/COSHH compliance in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering for residents in a care setting.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work as part of a team to deliver meals.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and serving meals for residents and others as required, in a timely manner.
• Providing a varied diet, catering for cultural preferences.
• Catering for celebrations and other events in the Home.
• Ordering supplies within the catering budget and company policy guidelines.
• Maintaining accurate catering records in accordance with HACCP.
• Participating in inspections by Environmental Health and/or care regulators and Local Authorities.
• Maintaining high hygiene standards in the kitchen per HACCP/COSHH.
• Supporting Health & Safety and Welfare requirements.
• Ability to manage the Catering Team.
