Job summary

Shaw healthcare is seeking a Bank Chef for Orchard House in Withington. This zero-hour, as-and-when-required role involves preparing and serving meals, ensuring a balanced menu, and maintaining high hygiene standards within HACCP guidelines.

You will liaise with the Home Manager and staff to meet residents’ dietary needs, support events, and manage catering records and budget-conscious purchasing. A friendly, compassionate approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing, cooking and serving meals.
• Knowledge of HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
• Ability to manage a catering team and maintain hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals for residents and others.
• Provide a varied menu respecting cultural preferences.
• Cater for celebrations and events in the home.
• Order supplies within budget and company policy, using approved suppliers.
