Location: Eastbourne

Salary: Up to £14.52 per hour

Hours: Flexible

Shinewater Court in Eastbourne offers accommodation and support to adults with various disabilities, including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, and disabilities resulting from accidents or strokes. We are a passionate team committed to delivering high standards of care and rehabilitation. Our Support Workers and team focus on enabling residents to be as independent as possible and to achieve their rehabilitation goals. We provide training to support personalized care, helping residents develop independent living skills such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, and socializing. You will find great job satisfaction in helping individuals live the life they want.

The Role:

  • Ensure a high standard of service during meal times.
  • Report any equipment defects to the Service Manager.
  • Supervise catering functions, prepare home-cooked meals, including blended diets, following staff instructions.
  • Comply with all statutory requirements and best practices as mandated by relevant authorities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards according to legislation.
  • Communicate with residents to meet their dietary needs.
  • Support and promote initiatives and decisions by the Manager.
  • Perform any reasonable duties assigned by senior staff to ensure smooth service operation.
  • Audit compliance with health and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
