Overview

We are looking for Chef’s/Cooks to join our Facilities Bank to work on a flexible basis on an ‘as and when’ basis when shifts become available, working at Rampton Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the provision of patient, staff or visitors meals by undertaking specific outlined and approved processes and procedures to ensure the quality and food safety of meals are safe and appropriate and within the guidelines of food hygiene legislation.
  • Provide assistance and information around patient meals and menus and act as a point of contact between the catering provision and the wards to identify issues or specific dietary requirements including allergen information.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous experience of a busy catering environment is a requirement.
  • A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

As this is a Bank position the salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled Worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. In these circumstances the Trust would not be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
