We’re seeking a passionate and competent Chef to join our team. As a Chef with Brackenbridge House, you’ll be responsible for overseeing everything that goes on in the kitchen!

As our Chef, you'll be responsible for many tasks, from ensuring high-quality dishes are served to patrons to managing the kitchen’s budget. You’ll need excellent organizational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Chef Responsibilities

  • Oversee kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and cleanup
  • Manage kitchen staff by delegating tasks
  • To prepare menus as agreed with manager. There should be a choice of options, including vegetarian and that religious and cultural dietary needs are catered for.
  • To prepare nutritious, appealing and wholesome meals.
  • Ensure all kitchen staff adhere to food safety and hygiene guidelines
  • Create menus that appeal to residents, including special seasonal menus
  • Provide feedback on food preparation and presentation
  • Inspect food items to ensure quality
  • Monitor inventory and workshop ways to reduce food spoilage
  • Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment, scheduling repairs when required
  • Collaborate with the management to ensure goals are being met

Chef Requirements
