Our purpose-built, premium care home offers accommodation for 68 residents in the coastal town of Fife, Scotland. Our warm and welcoming service provides outstanding Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite Care.

We’re looking for a skilled Bank Second Chef to join our team, playing a key role in ensuring our residents enjoy high-quality, well-balanced meals every day.

What We Offer

  • £13.68 per hour
  • Flexible bank contract – shifts to suit your availability

  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

What You’ll Do
You will prepare, cook, and serve both hot and cold meals, ensuring they meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will help plan balanced, nutritious menus using fresh ingredients while keeping within budget. You’ll take charge of day-to-day kitchen management, organising food production, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and upholding food safety regulations. Your responsibilities will also include stock management, checking deliveries, accurate record keeping, and maintaining a safe and well-maintained kitchen environment.

What We’re Looking For
You ideally hold City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 or an equivalent qualification (achieved or working towards) alongside a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and to lead when needed, are essential. Experience preparing specialised meals for care residents or working in a care setting is advantageous but not required.
