Job summary

The Limes in Mansfield is recruiting a Bank Catering Assistant to support the kitchen team across shifts. Reporting to the Head Chef, you’ll help prepare meals, maintain cleanliness, and assist with deliveries in a warm, social hospital environment.

You’ll work flexible bank shifts with weekly pay, access to a two-week induction, and free parking. Prior catering experience and COSHH/HACCP knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Relevant Catering Qualification (Desirable).
• Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
• Experience of working within similar role.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

• Assisting catering staff with the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Serving service users, staff and visitors with food and beverages.
• Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.
• Ensuring that all areas, equipment and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly.
• Ensuring the kitchen and associated areas meet hygiene standards and company policies.
• Liaising with the wider team, including dietitians regarding dietary and planned meals.

As a Bank Catering Assistant You Will Be

• Assisting catering staff with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Serving service users, staff and visitors with food and beverages.
• Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.

• As part of the catering team, ensuring the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the company’s policies and procedures.

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Need

Where You Will Be Working

Location: The Limes, Main Street, Langwith, Mansfield NG20 9HD

It is a specialist Rehabilitation service for men with a Mental Illness and/or Personality Disorder and a history of trauma and/or attachment disorders. The service offers a blended model of rehabilitation that combines a traditional rehabilitation environment with single and dual occupancy apartments, to provide a seamless care pathway for men. You will be working in an environment where there is a strong emphasis on positive risk taking which enables self-reliance and builds trust and self-esteem.
