The role of Catering Assistant is referred to internally at Sanctuary as General Assistant - Catering.
The responsibilities of the Bank Catering Assistant include:
- Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards.
- Working with customers, families, advocates, and staff to ensure a high standard of service.
- Undertaking general duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas, and customers' flats.
- Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site to maintain a safe environment.
- Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required, and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes.
Skills and experiences required:
- Some experience of working in a catering/hospitality environment is desirable.
- Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
- NVQ2 in Hospitality & Catering, or willingness to work towards it, is desirable.
