Job summary

Abbeyfield seeks a General Assistant (Housekeeper, Cook and Domestic) for a bank agreement at Holloway House, Quorn. You will help keep the home clean, assist with meal preparation and warmly welcome visitors, supporting Kitchen staff as needed.

No experience is required; you will receive comprehensive training. The role offers flexible bank hours with meals and daily duties aligned to resident care, with DBS checks and UK eligibility expected.

Qualifications

• Please note this role will require eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory employment references and an Enhanced DBS check.
• Convictions details may be requested; failure to disclose convictions may result in an offer of employment being revoked.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided. High standards and a caring approach are valued.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Home clean and tidy for residents and welcome visitors.
• Assist with meal preparation and support Kitchen staff to present meals to a high standard.
• Assist in cleaning residents' bedrooms, flats, communal areas and offices as needed.
• Ensure kitchen and store areas are clean and follow hygienic practices to keep residents safe.
