Job description

Location:Benderloch,Oban,Argyll and Bute,PA37 1QW

Located in the beautiful village of Benderloch by Oban, Etive House offers small group living accommodation for up to 62 residents. Our care home provides a warm, supportive setting for older adults, delivering high-quality residential, nursing, dementia, respite and palliative care in a close-knit community.

We are looking for:
Caring and reliable individuals to join us as Bank Care Assistants, with opportunities available for all levels — from complete beginners to experienced carers with SVQ2 or above. Whether you are just starting out or looking to continue your career in care, we have a place for you.

What We Offer:

  • Flexible hours to suit your availability
  • Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided, free onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata for bank hours)
  • Full training and support, including the opportunity to work towards recognised care qualifications
  • Supportive environment with opportunities to progress within a growing care provider

Your Role:
As a Bank Care Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering compassionate, person-centred care to our residents. This may include supporting individuals with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, meals and companionship. You will help create a warm and homely atmosphere, ensuring dignity, respect and comfort are at the heart of everything you do.

Whether you are a Trainee Care Assistant with no previous experience, a Care Assistant, or a Senior Care Assistant with an SVQ2 or above, you will be supported to thrive and make a real impact.

What We’re Looking For:
You should be kind, patient and respectful, with a genuine desire to support others. For senior care assistant roles, an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is essential. For other levels, no formal qualifications are required — just the right attitude and willingness to learn.

If you are naturally caring and want to work somewhere where you are valued, supported and can truly make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
