Gold Care Homes is seeking an experienced Bank Care Assistant to support our care homes across the Oxford area. This flexible role involves travelling between homes to provide safe, compassionate care while maintaining residents’ dignity and wellbeing.

You will assist with daily living tasks, support junior staff, respond to Nurse Call requests, and help maintain accurate records. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to own vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Support / assist residents with daily living to maintain high care standards.
• Assist training and supervise junior staff in the Home.
• Answer Nurse Call system, door, and telephone promptly.
• Report on residents' well-being and liaise with GPs and Support Managers.
• Carry out regular checks on clients as directed by senior staff.
• Deliver personal and psychological care and manage rotas and care requirements.
• Complete records and ensure documentation is updated within set timeframes.

As this role involves travelling between homes, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

What does the role involve?

• Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting / assisting residents, when required, with all aspects of daily living.
• Support training and supervision of junior and new Staff Members in all aspects of their work in the Home, under the supervision of senior Staff Members.
• Answer Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required. Answer the door and telephone appropriately. Respond accordingly and pass on messages promptly.
• Report on well-being of Clients and liaise with GPs and Support Managers etc.
• Carry out regular checks on Clients at intervals determined by senior Staff Members.
• Deliver a high level of personal and psychological care to all residents in a professional manner, arranging rotas to meet their care requirements e.g. medications; toileting; bathing; etc.
• Complete records where required to a satisfactory standard. Ensuring the changeover and Keyworker documentation are fully completed within the timeframes agreed.
