Job Advert Location Description

Cleveland House is located in Banks, Southport, and we offer residential support for 32 males and females with an acquired brain injury (ABI), progressive neurological condition (PNC), and associated physical health needs.

We are looking for Bank Support Workers to join our team.

The role:

Supports and assists qualified staff in the planning and implementation of resident care. Delivering care to the resident as prescribed by the individual care plans.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Assists qualified staff with implementation of individual resident care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities to facilitate the well-being, dignity, and treatment of all residents.
  2. Provides practical support and responsive care to residents requiring assistance with personal needs such as dressing, bathing, and toileting, ensuring activities comply with procedures and healthcare legislation.
  3. Observes and monitors residents' well-being, promptly referring any unusual physical, mental, or emotional occurrences to senior staff or the primary nurse and documenting appropriately.
  4. Monitors and allocates work for care assistants.
  5. Develops and maintains professional relationships with residents, colleagues, and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to requests and inquiries.

  1. Works with management to develop and implement new services within the unit.

  1. Monitors the work of care assistants.

  1. Shares collective responsibility for the care and appropriate use of resources in the home.

  1. Responsible for the accuracy of personal recordings in residents’ records and maintaining confidentiality.

Communication & Interaction

  1. Requires frequent interaction with staff, residents, and visitors, involving the exchange of routine information in person and over the phone.
  2. Requires well-developed observational and listening skills to monitor residents' mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

Working environment

  1. The role may involve challenging situations that heighten physical, sensory, and emotional demands.

Knowledge & Skills
