Spire Southampton Hospital is seeking an experienced cardiac physiologist to work in its cardiology department via the temporary staffing bank. The role focuses on imaging quality, QC and radiation protection, with coverage mainly for EP and ablation procedures and potential involvement in coronary angiography, PCI and later TAVI.

The position offers flexible ad-hoc shifts, typically two or three per month. Candidates should have EP and ablation experience and a relevant degree.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in clinical physiology, cardiology or equivalent.
• Experience in EP studies including ablation.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to day-to-day management of imaging quality, quality control, radiation protection and administration
• Cover mainly electrophysiology and ablation procedures, with coronary angiography and PCI, and TAVI once competent
• Provide adjunctive imaging (IVUS and OCT) supporting PCI procedures, with full training given
• Maintain patient privacy and dignity, keeping up to date with corporate and local SOPs
• Act in line with the Society of Radiographers code of professional conduct
• Take ownership of statutory and mandatory training and complete courses within required timeframes
• Follow local radiation rules and help review and reinforce them with the wider team
• Ensure appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment for theatre clinical duties
